Bonus Posing Quick Guide
Quick Checklist Before Any Photo
Use this right before a photo is taken. It should take less than 10 seconds.
Body
Shift your weight onto one leg
Keep a slight bend in your arms and knees
Let your shoulders drop naturally
Face
Gently part your lips (don’t press them together)
Soften your eyes (don’t stare)
Think of something calm or familiar
Energy
Take one slow breath
Remind yourself: you don’t need to be perfect
Allow small movement (don’t freeze)
Clothing Check
Smooth anything that feels off
Make sure you feel comfortable
Then stop adjusting
That’s it.
Not perfect. Just present.
If You Panic, Do This
If you suddenly feel awkward, tense, or unsure—don’t try to fix everything.
Reset.
Step 1: Pause
Stop overthinking. You don’t need to figure it all out.
Step 2: Breathe
Take one slow inhale through your nose.
Exhale through your mouth.
Do it again.
Step 3: Move
Shift your weight.
Take a small step.
Adjust your hands.
Movement breaks tension.
Step 4: Soften
Relax your jaw.
Let your face settle.
Don’t force a smile.
Step 5: Refocus
Instead of thinking about how you look, think:
“I’m just here.”
“This doesn’t have to be perfect.”
Then continue.
You don’t need to restart the moment.
You just need to return to yourself.
Mini Pep Talk (Save This)
You are not bad in photos.
You were never the problem.
You were just:
unprepared
unsupported
and trying too hard to get it right
You don’t need to perform.
You don’t need to fix your face.
You don’t need to become someone else.
You just need to:
breathe
move
and allow yourself to be seen
Some photos won’t feel perfect.
That’s normal.
What matters is that you stop hiding.
That you show up anyway.
That you give yourself the chance to be seen differently.
Because you are not “unphotogenic.”
You are someone who is learning how to feel at ease.
And that changes everything.
Keep this simple.
Come back to it when you need it.
And remember:
You don’t need to look perfect.
You just need to look like yourself.
